The U-Turn GmbH was founded in 2002 by Thomas Vosseler and Ernst Strobl, after some years of market analysis. The combined expertise of Vosseler’s visionary imaginations and the longtime design-know-how of Strobl paid off soon. From the beginning the focus was directed in the future, which was manifested through countless innovations in the industry. Starting with the worldwide first paraglider able to perform a looping (G-Force), over the AFS-system – the automatic flight stabilization – all the way through to the additional aerations PBV and the first tandem paraglider, able to perform acrobatics the Twinforce. The company out of the Black Forest also created sensation with various spectacular events, premieres and records like the crossing of the English Channel, the first tandem Infinity tumbling and others.
The firm grew quickly in Germany and Austria, and beginning in 2004 also the international distribution began to take off. Today U-Turn is offering a full service product range for paragliding pilots starting at harnesses, rescue parachutes, accessories all the way through to helmets.
