U-Turn supports children’s aid Uganda

Tuningen – The paraglider manufacturer U-Turn engages in the children’s aid Uganda. U-Turn is innovation pioneer in the area of paragliding and strongly influenced countless developments. Currently the innovation-workshop based in Tuningen is working on an electric drive concept for motorized paragliding under the motto “power of future”.

Therefore it is a matter of course for U-Turn to invest into the future and drive the progress. Social commitment is also viewed as a part of the global responsibility. Flying is one of the biggest privileges since it means freedom and the possibility to see over the borders, so founder Thomas Vosseler, “you want to give back to those for whom freedom and education is not a taken-for-grantedness.”

Children without school education don’t have a future in Afrika, because without education there’s no work – without work no money – without money no future. Put differently “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” to quote Nelson Mandela. Children’s aid Uganda advocates for helping children so they can attend school and thereby get a chance in their later life.

The long-term acquaintance with Pepi Gasteiger who founded the organization in Uganda from personal convincement, led to the decision to support this project. Unlike other big organizations Gasteiger sees to it personally that 100 per cent of the donations arrive on-site, as Thomas Vosseler assures and thereby Gasteiger pays for travel expenses from his own pocket.

But see for yourself how little it takes to make a difference and change the world where it is most effective, locally.
